Pete U. Garcia of Ft. Stockton, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in Big Spring, Texas.

Visitation & Rosary will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Eternity Funeral Home, 600 E. Dickinson Blvd. in Fort Stockton from 1-8 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ft. Stockton on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. with Father Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Pete Garcia was born in Fort Stockton, Texas as an only child to Pedro and Rome Garcia on Dec. 3, 1943. He attended school in Fort Stockton. Pete married Dolores "Loly" Rubio and moved to Monahans, Texas and had three children together: Eddie, Orlando "Lando" Garcia and daughter Melissa Watts. Pete was a veteran of the United States Army with an Honorable Discharge.

Pete Garcia is preceded in death by his cousin Tina Bueno.

Pete is survived by his children Eddie Garcia, Orlando Garcia and wife Jennifer Gaines, and daughter Melissa Watts. Pete is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Christopher Edward Garcia, Casey Eileen Barraza, Baylee Rene, Sophee Garica, Jase Garcia, Caelyn Gaines, Briana Gaines, and Abby Montana Watts. He is also survived by his cousin Erlinda Esparza and cousin Arnold Bueno

Memorials may be given to VA of Big Spring, 5th floor.

The family of Pete Garcia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses of the VA Hospital who were so patient and caring during the last days of our father's life. Thank you to the staff of Eternity Funeral Home for being so helpful and patient during this process.
