Fort Stockton High School is closing at noon Monday due to a water main break on the campus.
This will only affected the high school. Other campuses were on normal schedules.
An alert from Fort Stockton High School reported that a water main has broken on the campus. Water had been turned off, but water is still functioning at the Special Events Center.
City Manager Frank Rodriguez said that the issue is not with the city water system and that the issue is limited to the high school campus.
Assistant Super-intendent Gil-Rey Madrid said that a four inch pipe going into the main building had a hole in it. near the science classrooms.
They were able to quickly fix the busted pipe and resume a normal schedule the next day.
