Two people seriously injured; another arrested after I-10 crash


A two-car crash on Interstate 10 Monday, March 18, left two people seriously injured and another person arrested for alleged Intoxicated Assault.

According to Fort Stockton Police, the crash happened around 11 p.m. on I-10 near mile-marker 256 when a 2018 GMC pickup being driven westbound in the eastbound lane of I-10 by Jose Alonso-Zamudio, 30, collided with a 2012 Honda Odyssey being driven westbound.

The two occupants of the Honda were transported by helicopter to a hospital. The hospital, their conditions and names and hometowns have not been released.

Alonso-Zamudio was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault, a third degree felony.
