The “Rat Pack of Opera”, Tenors Un Limited, took to the stage of the Fort Stockton High School Auditorium Monday, Jan. 14, celebrating 15 years as a trio. The trio’s second concert in town was presented by The Fort Stockton Community Theatre (FSCT), with sponsorship from the Pecos County State Bank (PCSB) and Parsley Energy.

The group – Scott Ciscon, Jem Sharples and Paul Martin provided a diverse set list of songs ranging from opera, pop and crooner classics, old favorites and self-penned songs.

Having performed alongside such notables as Sting, Lionel Richie and Beyoncé; the trio shared the stage with the Fort Stockton High School Choir after the students performed a Pentatonix rendition of “White Winter Hymnal” by the Fleet Foxes.

“The trio was very good,” said new resident and attendee Steven M. Walker. “I’ve been going to theater and music events for years and after the first half, I’m usually ready to go. However, this trio captured me. I was hung on every word, loved all the harmonies and solos. I’m glad they did solos to show their individual strengths. I look forward to them returning to Fort Stockton next year. I was very apprehensive about moving here, but I’ve been continually surprised of the art and events that gets brought into town. I’d like to see more public participation instead of the usual lackluster support.”

Other praises of the show came from Tanya Shuttleworth from B’s Family Dining and Pecos County State Bank President George Hansard.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the concert,” said Hansard. “It was a fantastic show and they brought something different to Fort Stockton.”

“I’m so glad we didn’t miss out on this concert,” said Shuttleworth. “They were funny, the show was really entertaining, and their singing voices were excellent. During the concert my husband serenated me, because they were singing some of the love songs that we sing together.”
