Varsity Softball

The Prowlers faced the Pecos Eagles to win in 5 innings with the score of 16-0. The Prowlers are now 3-1 in district play to complete the first round. They will next face the Monahans Loboes in Monahans on April 3 to start the second round of district play.


Friday, March 23

The Fort Stockton JV baseball team split with Andrews. The Panthers won game one 6-5. Erik Bislar closed the game, getting the last three outs in the 7th inning. Izaiah Lujan hit a two-RBI triple in the 3rd inning, putting the Panthers up 4-1. Jaden Ureste had a big game going 2-4 and scored in twice. Jose Vasquez and Jamie Natividad both pitched solid games. 

In game two, the Panthers lost 13-1. Izaiah Lujan moved Evian Castro with a base hit and Castro would later be scored at home.

Tuesday, March 27

The Panthers JV baseball team beat the Pecos Eagles 7-5 in Pecos. The Panthers had strong pitching from Erik Bislar and Jamie Natividad, which both combined only gave up three hits total. Evian Castro started the 3rd inning with a double and Erik Bislar had a two-out double in the 3rd, scoring three runs. Pedro Vasquez went two-for-two for the night. Late in the 5th inning, Andrick Ramirez squeeze-bunted Jason Childs in to put the Panthers up 7-4. The Panthers' next game will be on April 3 in Monahans at 4:30 p.m.


The Prowlers high school golf team had a good day in Wink, finishing in fourth place, but all girls improved their scores on the outing. Karisa Raines scored a 92, Felicity Subia 105, Reanna Losoya 111, Rebecca Rodriguez 112, Enissa Sanchez 114, Abby Garcia 119, Lymarie Ortiz 137, and Maite Arroyo 148. Each girl improved a lot, some as much as 40 strokes from their first tournament, with a couple of the players being rookies. District play will be held April 4-9.

The girls played in the Monahans JV tournament and did pretty good while improving their scores. Katie Salmon scored 126, Julissa Talavera 130, Abby Garcia 132, Maite Arroyo 139 and Lymarie Ortiz 159.

The team finished with a total of 15 points and made great strides. Runners fell short of making finals in every relay by one place. Competitors scored high in the high jump, placing first and third and sixth in the triple jump.
