Seafood boil Aug. 23 in Fort Stockton

For one weekend only, a new food option is coming to the Fort Stockton area.

Cupit's Catering out of Fort Worth is bringing a seafood boil to the farmers market on Aug. 24.

After catering for several oil companies in the area, owner Tyler Cupit and his wife Jennifer realized they could bring something different.

“We noticed nothing like what we serve out there,” he said. “We decided to take advantage of it.”

The small company is a fun pastime for the couple, where Tyler works in the oil industry.

On the weekends they cater events for 10 to 300 people and realized that people enjoyed the food they were offering.

“We got a hell of a feedback for it,” said Tyler.

They will be offering boiled crab leg, boiled shrimp, boiled corn, boiled sausage and all things that Tyler grew up loving on the Texas/Louisiana border.

They will be serving platter style, which helps four to six people, but can break it smaller if necessary.

They are excited to come back to the area and see how the community likes their cooking.

“It's something we have always had a passion in,” said Tyler.

On Friday they will be set up at 5'o Clock Somewhere at 102 E Dickinson Blvd.
