“One Week Remains For PRSC Forum
Midland, Texas (August 12, 2019) - The Permian Road Safety Coalition (PRSC) will host its Q3 Forum on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the Ward County Event Center in Monahans, Texas. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. The Forum begins promptly at 10:45 and will conclude at 1:00 p.m.
This will be PRSC’s third forum event of 2019 and continues its efforts to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities across the Permian Basin of Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. The event is free and lunch will be served.
Due to the large turnout expected, pre-registration is strongly encouraged and remains available until Monday, August 19, at noon by visiting www.permianroadsafety.org/events. A short on-site registration period will be available the morning of the event beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Guest speakers and presentations for the Q3 Forum will include:
Apache, presenting the "Sterile Cabin Initiative," leveraging an aviation safety practice, which seeks to remove distractions from behind the wheel
Jim Cline, Texas A&M Transportation Institute, presenting Permian Basin crash data and heat mapping of this data
Chris Scholla, Atlas Sand, PRSC's "Sand Task Force" and its efforts to improve road safety
Texas Dept. of Transportation (TxDOT) discussing the "Permian Basin Regional Freight and Energy Sector Transportation Plan"
PRSC is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to improve road safety and reduce the number of traffic-related injuries and deaths in the Permian Basin. This is accomplished through a collaborative effort among oil and natural gas operators, oil field service and transportation companies, non-governmental organizations and government agencies.
