Raymundo Rodriguez Garcia of Fort Stockton passed away Friday, January 18, 2019, in Odessa at the age of 85 years. He was born on March 15, 1933, in Marathon, Texas, to Catarino and Josepha Garcia.
He proudly served in the Korean War. He was very active in his parish Saint Agnes. He was a presider in absence of a priest. He was President of the Guadalupanas Organization. He was a Eucharistic Minister. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy Fan. He was proud and loved all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He owned and operated Raymond’s Radiator Shop. He was always willing to help a person in need. He had a very strong faith and belief in Jesus Christ. He loved to travel with his wife and family. His favorite place was Las Vegas.
Raymundo is survived by his two sons, Raymond R. Garcia Jr. of Odessa, Carlos Ray Garcia of Las Vegas; three daughters, Felicita Garcia of Odessa, Rebecca Garcia Carrillo of Mc Camey, Lorina Garcia Urias of Odessa; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Raymundo is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, the love of his life, Erundina P. Garcia; his siblings, Juan Rodriguez, Eulojio Rodriguez, Catarina G. Ramirez, Francisca Sanchez, Leonor Reyes.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 5-7p.m. with rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
