Pecos County Judge Joe Shuster announced today that all parks in Pecos County – including those in Fort Stockton – will be closed from Friday, April 10 to Sunday, April 12.
The Easter Sunrise service will be held on Sunday, April 12 at Zero Stone Park, but participants will be required to stay in their cars parked around the park. The Pioneer will livestream the services on its Facebook page.
The parks will reopen on Monday, April 13.
The move is being made to discourage large gathers during the Easter Weekend amid the Coronavirus Pandemic.
