PCMH to bring holiday cheer and Santa

On Friday, Dec. 8, Pecos County Memorial Hospital will deck the hospital halls with holiday fun as they host an open house with tours of the facilities, refreshments, and a visit from Santa.

“I think it is important that the community know us and be familiar with our services,” said PCMH CEO Margaret Davis. “They can get to know our physicians and we will help them with anything they need, including questions about billing and insurance.”

Human Resources Director Malissa Trevino agreed with Davis, saying it is a great way for the community to learn about the services offered and to talk one-on-one with staff.

“We are very excited about this; it’s something new that we haven’t done that I recall,” Trevino continued. “People are really concerned about coming to the hospital and which doctor to go to. They will be able to see where all the doctors are and we can show them how to get everywhere in the hospital.”

According to Davis, tour guides will be available to show citizens around the hospital, including the Family Care Center and the Wellness Center. Most of all, the hospital staff will be working to get into the holiday spirit and to show off their physicians and medical staff.

“It’s the holidays right now, and we want to ring that in!” said Davis. “We will have Santa here for children to take pictures with and our door decorating contest is in full swing. We have wonderful providers here; our staff is top notch. I can’t say that enough. We want everyone to know that!”

The PCMH Open House will be held Friday, Dec. 8 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Santa being available from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
