Panthers fall to Greenwood; prepare to host West Texas Shootout Thursday

Fort Stockton High School will play host to the 2nd Annual West Texas Shootout Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 12 to 14. The boys basketball tournament features a round-robin format, with Irvin, Kermit, Del Rio, Austin and Estacado joining the Panthers.

Play starts at noon Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The Panthers play two games Thursday: 1:30 p.m. against Estacado and 7:30 p.m. vs. Del Rio. On Friday, the Panthers have a noon matchup against Kermit and a 6 p.m. game vs. Austin. On Saturday, the Panthers play Irvin at 1:30 p.m.

On Dec. 10, the panthers lost to visiting Greenwood, 80-44 at the SEC. Damian Busby led the Panthers with nine points, while Jesse Franco and Dominic Aguilar each scored six points.
