Panther swimmers set three new school records

Three Fort Stockton High School swimming records were broken at the Regional Meet held Feb. 1-2 in Lubbock.

EJ Vazquez established a new mark in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 56.36 seconds. He eclipsed the time of 56.61 that was recorded by J. Padilla in 2003.

Vazquez also set a new record in the 100 Freestyle after recording a time of 51.52 during a leg on the 400 Freestyle Relay. The previous record stood for 33 years. It was held by A. Arcides, who recorded a time of 51.84 in 1986.

Jordan Petralba set the 50 Freestyle record with a 22.38 time on one leg of the 200 Freestyle Relay, surpassing the previous mark of 22.92 seconds set by C. Soto in 2017.
