The Fort Stockton Convention and Visitors Bureau is giving Paisano Pete a party to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic roadrunner statue.

The Nov. 30 party at the Pecos County Coliseum will have free admission. Attendees may bring their own beverages.

There will be performances by Jake Ward, Peligro and Unleashed.

There will also be a contest to see who can make the best birthday cake.

The rules are it has to be a ½ sheet cake, Paisano Pete themed and delivered to the coliseum by 5 p.m. on the date of the party.

The Fort Stockton Pioneer along with the CVB are hosting a photo contest with a $250 cash grand prize. To enter, post your picture with Paisano Pete by clicking on the contest ad on The Pioneer's web site, Entries must be posted by Friday, Nov. 22. The public will vote for the winner online from Saturday Nov. 23 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. The winner will be announced at the party.
