MS football season over


Middle School Football concluded their season this past week as they hosted Monahans.

The seventh grade Blue Team fell 0-12 to the Lobos despite a hard fought four quarters. Crus Rojas moved the ball around with completions to Zane Hodges, Dominic Bernal, Darren Ureste, and Jaydrien Ramirez. On the offensive line Alec Galindo, Everado Sandoval, and Henry Downing did an outstanding job blocking.

The team's defensive effort was led by Ethan Acosta, Joe Carraso, Kayden Torres, and Felip Sotelo.

“Our football season has to come to an end, but these young men were a pleasure to coach," Coach Richard Rojas said after the game.

The seventh grade White Team also fell to Monahans Thursday night.

“These young men fought all year and progressed throughout each practice, game and adversity,” Coach Guardiola said after the season.

In eighth grade action, the Panthers Blue Team lost 12-22, with the highlight of the game being Dominic Aguilar with 167 yards rushing and 55 yards passing. Danny Venezuela led the team with seven tackles, a fumble recovery, and an interception.

The white team also fell to Monahans Thursday night by a score of 8-0. Jeremiah Mireles led the team with 13 tackles, while Anthony Gomez had an interception for the night. Christian Garcia had seven carries for 60 yards, while Bryan Rivera led the team with 12 carries for 100 yards.
