The Pecos County Memorial Hospital will have a digital mammogram service onsite for two days as long as they get enough sign ups.
The hospital needs at least 30 appointments per day in order for the mammogram service to take place on June 11 and 12.
Mammograms are typically not offered at the hospital, so this service will help people in town instead of forcing them to go elsewhere.
The machines help detect cancer and they will accept insurance or work with patients who can't afford it.
Mammograms are recommended yearly after the age of 40.
Appointments are required and patients are asked to call Desert Imaging at (915)-400-0426.
