Lorraine Roberts, age 71, passed away on Nov. 16, 2017 in Mountain Home, AR after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Lawrence and Marie Thein and was the youngest of five children.
Roberts moved to California with her family, where she met and married her husband, Thomas Roberts of 49 years.
Roberts had a long career at US West in Loveland, CO where she resided with her husband for over 30 years before moving to Fort Stockton in 2006. One of the highlights of her life there was working at the Fort Stockton Museum and making life-long friends.
Roberts had a true love and compassion for animals and people, especially for her family and close friends, which she held dear to her heart. Those that knew her spoke of her gentleness, kindness, and the tender-hearted person she was. She had a strong faith and love for God, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was always able to brighten the lives of everyone she came to know.
Roberts kept a positive attitude all while battling her fight with cancer, never giving up on her will to live another day, so she could touch someone’s life. God has called her home and with our loss she will leave a huge hole in many lives and hearts. Even though she is no longer with us, she has left us with everlasting memories and will never be forgotten. We love you Lorraine! This isn’t good bye, but only so long for now.
Roberts was preceded in death by: husband Thomas Roberts; parents Lawrence and Marie Thein; and sister Mildred Gherna. Survived by siblings Robert Thein, Lawrence Thein, and Harold Thein; sister-in-law Bonnie Thein; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
