Lions help FSISD with vision screener

Fort Stockton Lions Club last week donated $3,500 toward the purchase of a Spot Vision Screener for Fort Stockton ISD. This Lions Club district’s past Governor Garland Tiner and local Lions Club President Sam Calderon Jr. presented FSISD head nurse Cindy Milan the Spot Vision Screener and $3,500 check at the local Lions Club meeting.

The Spot Vision Screener is a handheld, portable device designed to help users quickly and easily detect vision issues on patients from six months of age through adult. It screens both eyes at once from a nonthreatening three-foot distance. The touch-screen display allows for one-touch activation, simple management of patient data entry, and easy configuration for both vision screening and autorefraction applications.
