Julia Elizabeth “Libby” Daniels-Rowley, 84, of Fort Stockton, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Chester, Vir. She was born Sept. 10, 1933 in Nash County, N.C. to William David Daniel and Alice Huggins Daniel Ritter. She moved to Fort Stockton in 1996 and became an active member in her community by volunteering as a member of the Lions Club and took part in vacation bible study and choir for First Baptist Church as well as the bereavement committee. She studied nursing in Fort Stockton and Virginia then retired in 2010 from Fort Stockton Nursing Home as a CNA.
Julia is survived by children, Carol Smallwood of Powder Springs, Georgia, Marie Peters of Chesterfield, Vir., Arthur Edward Ooghe, III of Portland, Ore. and Angela Ooghe of Miami, Fla.
Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Patrick Rowley.
Visitation for friends, family and church family was Saturday, March 17 at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Funeral service were Sunday, March 18 at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton. Burial followed at East Hill Cemetery.
