On Saturday, Jan. 16, Fort Worth-based country artist Jake Pyeatt will perform The Garage Coffee, Music & More.
Jake Pyeatt began playing guitar at the age of 7, started his professional career at the age of 17, and has been playing lead guitar for various artists for the past 12-plus years. In Jan. 2014 he launched his solo career. His first single, “We’ll Dance,” reached #36 on the Texas Regional Radio Report. His current single, “When I’m Gone,” is climbing the Texas charts. He also just released his first solo EP, self-titled “Jake Pyeatt EP,” in June 2015.
Jake has played lead guitar for or recorded with artists such as Michael Padgett, Mike Ryan, Phil Hamilton, Erick Willis, Kylie Rae Harris, Steve Helms, Midnight River Choir, Randy Brown, Austin Allsup and many others.
Jake is the son of Rodney Pyeatt and Rena Dearman, who met while playing in the band of Tejano pop superstar Selena Quintanilla. His father and his two brothers, Britton and Mitchell, are also full-time touring musicians.
The one and only Snotty Hicks will lead off the night with some foot stompin' wailin' and flailin'.
Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 on day of show and can be purchased online at TheGarageTX.com or The Garage in Fort Stockton. Tickets are required for all attendees aged 8 and up; ages 7 and under are free.
