The Iraan-Sheffield Lion's Club, Iraan-Pecos County 4-H, Iraan FFA and Iraan Livestock Association are hosting their ninth annual dinner, raffle and live auction.

The event at the Iraan Civic Center raises needed money for Iraan High School students.

“We use it to raise funds for scholarships for the seniors,” said Lion's Club Treasurer Teresa Rodriguez.

The event will be serving brisket, sausage and sides for $10 a plate. Children 10-years-old and younger eat free.

There will also be free door prizes with the chance to win things like a military backpack, tactical air soft pistol or venom blow gun.

Tickets can be purchased up until the week of the event or at the door.

Tickets are sold at Brave National Bank, Iraan Chamber of Commerce, Iraan General Hospital and more.

This is the first year they will be having a dance following the dinner.

“We always expect a big turnout, that's always the goal,” said Rodriguez.
