GREAT – short for Gang Resistance Education And Training – is a program led by Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Taylor.

This semester marked the first class Taylor has done in Pecos County. She did the program for three years in Terrell County.

The program is also being conducted at the Fort Stockton Middle School and in the Iraan and Buena Vista ISDs.

For more on the program, be sure to pick up the Jan. 31 print edition of The Pioneer.
