Fort Stockton Community Theatre is preparing for its third annual Silent Auction which will be held March 19 – 23 in the lobby of First National Bank during banking hours.

Sarah Card and Beth Holstein are the FSCT Board members in charge of the successful annual event and are eager for you to call Beth at 432-290-1113 or Sarah at 432-336-6610 to donate your items to be auctioned. Arrangements can be made to pick up items, and items will be accepted right up until the opening of the Auction on Monday, March 19.

All items are welcomed from original artwork to antiques, from baked goods to orders for future gourmet dinners, from exercise equipment to tutorials for your children needing help with math or reading. There will be something for everyone. Donors may place a minimum bid on their items.

First National Bank will again host a Last Chance Reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the last day of the Auction, Friday, March 23. Bidders will have one last chance to browse, enjoy refreshments, and make that last winning bid. Bidding will shut down at 7 p.m., and buyers can pay and pick up their items shortly after the closing bid.

After the reception, there will be a performance of FSCT’s production of “Double wide, Texas” by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten at The Nelson Street Theatre at 8 p.m. Watch for more information about the play.

There will also be an opportunity at the Auction to buy theatre chairs for $250 each in memory or in honor of a special family member or friend. Arrangements can be made to pay out the purchase of a chair or chairs. Call Alice Duerksen at 336-3180 for more information.

All proceeds from the Auction will go to the theatre’s Renovation and Building Fund. The theatre is close to reaching its goal $1.5 million goal, but money is still needed before ground can be broken. Get ready to bid, and buy, and be a part of Fort Stockton COMMUNITY Theatre.
