This weekend is full of event in Fort Stockton with something going on for everyone.
Fort Stockton High School Homecoming Events
•Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. Parade down Rio Street ending with a bonfire
•Friday, Oct. 4 at 6:40 p.m. King and Queen crowning, kickoff at 7 p.m.
•Thursday Oct. 3, Active Shooter Class, 6:30 p.m., Free, North Side Church, 1600 Gillis, Fort Stockton. The event will show what to do in case of an active shooter scenario.
•Friday, Oct. 4. 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Fall Festival. The event is at the Pecos County Coliseum, 1618 Airport Drive. The free event is hosted by the CVB and the Rebecca Creek Team Roping. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and their own alcohol. Vendors start at 7 p.m. With the first band starting at 7:30 p.m. Goat roping will happen during. The music will be by Grupo Peligro and Nacho Galindo, Jr.
•Saturday, Oct. 5. 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Continuation of the Fall Festival. Roping will happen all day long with the first concert starting at 7p.m. The music will be by Art Tijerina and Los Rivales Del Norte.
•Saturday, Oct. 5. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Fitness Fiesta Health Fair. This will be at the Pecos County Civic Center, 1618 Airport Drive. The event is free. There will be flu shots available for $25. Free health screenings, educational programs. Around 45 different tables with services available throughout the county. “We're gonna have lots of door prizes,” said HR Director Malissa Trevino.
