Erundina P. Garcia of Fort Stockton passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, in Odessa at the age of 85 years. She was born on July 23, 1932, in Fort Stockton, to Carlos Pina and Sofia Sarabia Pina.
Garcia liked to travel with her husband Raymond and her family. She was very active in her church, Saint Agnes, where she taught CCE and was a Communion Minister. She was a presider in absence of a priest on several occasions. She was a member of the church choir and a Guadalupana. She loved cooking for her family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved singing and all the holidays, but especially Christmas.
Garcia is survived by her husband, Raymond R. Garcia, Sr.; two sons, Raymond R. Garcia, Jr. of Odessa and Carlos Ray Garcia of Las Vegas; three daughters, Felicita Garcia of Odessa, Rebecca Garcia Carrillo of McCamey, and Lorina Garcia Urias of Odessa; 11 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Garcia is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Librada Pina, Fransisca Gonzales, and Prisilliana Gonzales.
Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Funeral service will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Church in Fort Stockton with Father Serafin Avenido officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
