EMT course starts in January at WRTTC

Midland College Williams Regional Technical Training Center Health Science Continuing Education Department will be hold an Emergency Medical Technician Course beginning in January. $

The tuition is $629, and covers approximately 175 hours of classroom and clinical instruction.

Students will be taught emergency medical procedures and skills to put into practice during clinical exercises with the local EMS and Pecos County Memorial Hospital emergency room.

Students will need to purchase Emergency Care-W/Mybradylab Access (Author: Limmer Isbn: 9780134190754), which may be purchased from Midland College Bookstore. Other personal medical equipment items will be required. The list will be sent to those that go to the course website and send an inquiry.

Lorenzo Hatch will be the lead instructor for the class that is scheduled to begin Jan. 27. The class meets from 6 to 10 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday evenings at WRTTC.

Clinicals will be scheduled on an individual basis outside of specified classroom meetings.

Applications are currently being accepted. No student will be accepted prior to Jan. 1. Applicants that complete all requirements will be listed for acceptance in the order requirements are finalized. Final acceptance in to program will remain the responsibility of WRTTC HSCE Department.
