COVID-19 county case counts remain below threshold, nears 20

The Pecos County Emergency Management Office has reported 19 active cases as of Aug. 5. with 1,531 tested individuals and 131 recoveries.

A county-wide mask order has been in effect since July 20 when the county surpassed the state requirement of 20 active cases. The county has to remain under 20 cases for 30 days to be exempt from Gov. Greg Abbott’s mask order. The county has been under the 20 cases threshold for 13 days but is seeing a rise in cases which will reset the 30-day count if  20 cases are confirmed active.

Here is the list of ACTIVE cases in Pecos County:

  • Case #79: 48-year-old female with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested June 29 at Mallik. Self-quarantined at home.
  • Case #99: 27-year-old female contraction from a confirmed case. Tested July 14 at Cactus Health. Self-quarantining at home.
  • Case #100: 68-year-old make with unknown contraction. Tested July 14 at Cactus Health. Self-quarantining at home.
  • Case #106: 63-year-old female with unknown contraction. Tested July 9 at Focus Care, where she is a resident. Hospitalized at UMC Lubbock.
  • Case #112: 61-year-old male with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested July 22 at Cactus. Self-quarantining at home.
  • Case #113: 41-year-old male with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested July 14 at PCMH. Hospitalized at MCH.
  • Case #114: 7-year-old male with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested July 21. Self-quarantining at home.
  • Case #125: 36-year-old female with unknown contraction. Tested July 18 at PCMH. Hospitalized at MCH
  • Case #128: 73-year-old female with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested July 27 at Cactus. Self-quarantine at home.
  • Case #137: 44-year-old female with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested on July 23 at PCMH. Self-quarantine at home.
  • Case #141: 78-year-old male with possible contraction from travel. Tested on July 20 at PCMH. Hospitalized at PCMH.
  • Case #142: 41-year-old female with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested on July 30 at PCMH. Self-quarantine at home.
  • Case #143: 15-year-old female with possible contraction from travel. Tested on July 27 at PCMH. Self-quarantine at home.
  • Case #144: 50-year-old female with unknown contraction. Tested on July 28 at PCMH. Self-quarantine at home.
  • Case #145: 18-year-old female with possible contraction from travel. Tested on July 26 at PCMH. Self-quarantine at home.
  • Case #146: 44-year-old female with possible contraction from travel. Tested on July 26 at PCMH. Self-quarantining at home.
  • Case #147: 40-year-old female with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested on July 24 at PCMH. Self-quarantining at home.
  • Case #149: 27-year-old male with contraction from a confirmed case. Tested on July 27 at PCMH. Self-quarantining at home.
  • Case #150: 56-year-old male with possible contraction from travel. Tested on July 27 at PCMH. Self-quarantining at home.
