The Pecos County Commissioners’ Court met in regular session on Tuesday, Oct. 10, where they heard regular reports.
Pecos County Memorial Hospital requested more of their Capital Funds to replace a fridge and ice machine at the hospital. After discussing the overtime and accounts payable reports, the court unanimously approved the reports and transfer of funds. The County Treasurer and Auditor presented their reports also, and they were approved.
The county approved a Sole Source Provider agreement for waste services with Duncan Disposal. Duncan Disposal had submitted a 3 percent increase on their 2017 rate, which was also approved.
A plat referencing Basin Industrial Park by Brigham Development in Precinct 1 was accepted, and the repair of Sheffield fire trucks was approved. The court approved the submission of the Senate Bill 18 Compliance Response by the county to submit to the Texas Comptroller.
A bid for the roofing replacement and removal of a skylight at Imperial Library was granted to Charles Terry Roofing. A payment of change order was also submitted to Charles Terry Roofing referencing additional damage to Iraan Civic Center.
The court accepted the resignation of Cathy Ervine, J.P. of Precinct 3, effective Dec. 31 of this year. A request from Dawson Geophysical to conduct a 3D survey in Precincts 1 and 4 was approved, as well as a request from Pecos County Water Control and Improvement District 1 to cut 52nd lane in Precinct 4 for a water tap.
