Panther Baseball

The Fort Stockton Panthers played a tough game against Denver City.The Panthers came out strong and scored in the first inning with the bases loaded and Derek Hernandez scored on a passed ball. The team played solid defense all game and also had an outstanding performance on the mound from Luis Guerra who gave the Panthers four strong innings with three strikeouts. The Panthers played five innings strong but came out short 5-1 to Denver City. The Panthers played Friday in Monahans and results were not available at press time.

Prowler Softball

The Prowlers opened the ECISD softball tournament with two wins to complete play for the day, defeating Forsan 8-5 and Shallowater 22-7. The Prowlers faced Plainview and Dumas later in the tournament at the Ratliff Stadium Softball Complex, with the scores not available as of press time.

JV Baseball

The Fort Stockton JV baseball team played a tough game against Greenwood. The Panthers came out short but there were lots of positives that came out of it. Izaiah Lujan hit a two-out triple in the fourth inning, scoring two runs. Jose Vasquez hit a two-out single, scoring one run in the top of the fifth. Jamie Natividad pitched two solid innings, only giving up three runs. Diego Renteria stole two bases with a passed ball behind the catcher.
