Appraisal district calls Regular Meeting to vote on canceling Special Meeting an hour later

Posted

We are following a developing story around the Pecos County Appraisal District (PCAD).

The Board of Directors have called a Special Meeting for 7 p.m., Thursday, July 12 at its office at 201 S. Main St.

However, the board has now field a Notice of Regular Meeting for 6 p.m., Thursday, July 12 – an hour prior to the planned special meeting – with the single order of business of considering the cancelation of the Special Meeting.

The agenda for the Special Meeting included:

- Discussion and possible action concerning the PCAD's Attorney.

- Discussion and possible action on electing Margaret Holmes as Acting Chairman for the Special Meeting.

- Discussion and possible action concerning the PCAD's contracted appraisal company.

- Discussion and possible action concerning the PCAD's Chief Appraiser.

There is a closed session portion of the meeting, followed by public comment and adjournment.

That is what we know at the moment. We are collecting addition information and will share when available.

The agendas for both meetings are attached.
