The Pecos County 4-H will be accepting items for their Matthies-Bennett 4-H scholarship auction until 5 p.m. On Thursday April 4.
The auction is set for Sunday, April 6.
Items can be brought to the Pecos County Coliseum, US Highway 285 North.
The auction starts at 9:30 a.m. and goes until the items are sold.
The group spent Thursday collecting items for sale including lawnmowers, household items and vehicles.
Those who give their items to auction get to keep 90% of the profits from the sale.
The money raised from the auction goes to 4-H scholarships for Pecos County 4-H senior members who meet the qualifications of being enrolled in 4-H, completing a 4-H record book and active in events and projects related to 4-H.
The scholarship ranges from $1,500 to $2,500 and can go to between one and six members.
