School district to replace marquee message signs

Message signs at each Fort Stockton Independent School District campus will soon be replaced with new, higher-resolution signs. The FSISD Board of Trustees voted to replace the signs at its June 26 meeting, ultimately opting for the highest resolution sign possible. Three companies submitted bids, and the district chose Arrow Signs of San Angelo, which offered the highest resolution at what the board deemed the best price.

Mule Deer Foundation hires Rubio as Regional Director

SALT LAKE CITY - The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) announced that it has hired Demetrio Rubio as the Regional Director for Western Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Rubio brings more than 10 years of experience as a Mule Deer Foundation chapter chair for the Pecos County Chapter in Fort Stockton. He is also well known in his community not only due to his more than 30 years in local law enforcement, but also for his volunteer work for hunter education and habitat conservation efforts in western Texas. Rubio replaces Charlie Stockstill who recently retired from the organization.
