Permian Basin Area Foundation opens scholarship application for the 2024-25 academic year

Permian Basin Area Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the 2024-2025 scholarship cycle. Students and counselors may view eligibility and selection criteria for scholarships on the PBAF website, www. pbaf.org. The application opened Jan. 1 and the deadline is March 31.

City clarifies land acreage, extends bid deadline

The Fort Stockton city council – minus mayor Paul Casias – held a special lunchtime meeting Tuesday to clarify the total acreage of a plot of land the city had originally put out for bid near the landfill and extended the deadline for bids. The city originally said it was 500 acres but clarified that to 360 acres on Tuesday.
